Salt & Palm Brands LLC, doing business as The Perfect Rim (“The Perfect Rim,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit www.theperfectrim.com and any related subpages, including our pages for operators and distributors (collectively, the “Site”), and when you otherwise interact with us, such as by submitting an inquiry, contacting us by email, or following us on social media (together with the Site, the “Services”).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Services.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through the Services. It does not apply to:

  • Third-party websites and platforms. Sites or services operated by third parties that we link to or reference, including social media platforms such as Instagram and Pinterest, which are governed by their own privacy policies.
  • Our business customers’ own practices. Bars, restaurants, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, distributors, brokers, and other businesses that purchase or resell our products and independently collect information from their own guests or customers.
  • Information collected offline. Except as described here, information you provide to us outside of the Services, such as in person, by phone, or in the course of a negotiated commercial relationship, which may be governed by a separate agreement.

The Perfect Rim is a business-to-business brand. Our Services are intended for trade audiences—such as hospitality operators, foodservice distributors, brokers, and related professionals—and for adults of legal age. The Services are not directed to children. See Section 12 (Children’s Privacy).

3. Information We Collect

We collect information in three general ways: information you provide to us directly, information collected automatically when you use the Services, and information we receive from third parties.

3.1 Information You Provide to Us

You may choose to provide information when you contact us, submit an inquiry through our “Contact Us” feature, request information as an operator or distributor, or otherwise communicate with us. This information may include:

  • Identifiers and contact details, such as your name, business name, job title, email address, telephone number, and mailing or business address;
  • Commercial and professional information, such as your role, the type of business you operate (for example, bar, restaurant, hotel, resort, cruise line, distributor, or broker), purchasing interests, account or order details, and the contents of your inquiry;
  • Correspondence, including the messages, attachments, and other information you send to us or that we exchange with you; and
  • Any other information you voluntarily choose to provide.
  • Information submitted through website forms is voluntary; however, failure to provide requested information may limit our ability to respond to inquiries or provide requested materials.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access or use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information about your device and your interaction with the Site, including:

  • Device and connection data. such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, language preferences, and screen or display settings;
  • Usage data. such as the pages and content you view, the links you click, the dates and times of your visits, the referring website or source, time spent on pages, and other interactions with the Site; and
  • Cookies and similar technologies. small data files and identifiers placed on your device that help the Site function, remember your preferences, and allow us to understand how the Site is used. See Section 6 (Cookies and Similar Technologies).

3.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third parties, including:

  • Analytics and technology providers that help us measure and improve the performance of our Site;
  • Social media platforms, if you interact with us or our content there, subject to the platform’s own settings and policies; and
  • Business contacts, referrals, trade directories, and publicly available sources in the ordinary course of business development.

Business Development Information. We may collect and use publicly available business contact information obtained from company websites, trade directories, industry publications, trade shows, hospitality industry events, professional networking platforms, referrals, and other lawful sources for legitimate business development, sales, marketing, and relationship management purposes.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.

We do not seek to collect, and ask that you do not submit, sensitive categories of personal information such as government identification numbers, financial account credentials, health information, precise geolocation, or information revealing protected characteristics, except where strictly necessary and lawful for a specific business purpose you have requested.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for legitimate business purposes, including to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services, and respond to your inquiries and requests;
  • Communicate with you about our products, including pricing, availability, samples, distribution, and account matters;
  • Evaluate and pursue business relationships with operators, distributors, brokers, and other trade partners;
  • Send administrative, transactional, and—where permitted—marketing or promotional communications, from which you may opt out at any time;
  • Understand how visitors use the Site, measure and analyze traffic and engagement, and develop new features and content;
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect our rights, property, and the safety of others;
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and our contractual and legal obligations; and
  • Carry out any other purpose described to you at the time the information is collected or to which you consent.

Distributor and Business Relationship Inquiries. Submission of a distributor inquiry, operator inquiry, account request, sample request, or other business development form does not create a distributorship, reseller relationship, territory right, exclusivity arrangement, commercial agreement, or any obligation on the part of Salt & Palm Brands LLC. All business relationships remain subject to separate evaluation, approval, and written agreement by Salt & Palm Brands LLC.

Legal bases (where applicable). For individuals located in jurisdictions that require a legal basis for processing (such as the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), we rely on one or more of the following: your consent; the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract; compliance with a legal obligation; and our legitimate interests in operating, promoting, and improving our business, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.

5. How We Disclose Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We share information with vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, analytics, email and communications, customer relationship management, and professional advisors. These parties are authorized to use the information only as necessary to provide services to us.
  • Business and trade partners. Where relevant to a transaction or relationship you have initiated, we may share information with distributors, brokers, or fulfillment partners to facilitate orders, samples, or distribution.

Some U.S. privacy laws broadly define “sale” or “sharing” to include certain transfers for advertising or analytics through cookies and similar technologies. To the extent such activity occurs through our Site, you may exercise choices as described in Sections 6 and 9.

Information submitted through contact forms may be stored and managed within customer relationship management (CRM) platforms used by The Perfect Rim to administer business relationships, respond to inquiries, and provide requested information.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate and analyze the Site. Cookies are small files stored on your device. We generally use the following categories:

7. Analytics, Social Media, and Third-Party Links

The Site may use third-party analytics services to help us understand usage. These providers may set their own cookies and collect information governed by their own privacy policies.

Our Site links to our social media presences, including Instagram and Pinterest. When you click these links or interact with embedded content, the relevant platform may collect information about you in accordance with its own policies. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of third-party sites or platforms. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

We may use Google Analytics and similar analytics services to understand website traffic and visitor engagement.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When determining how long to keep information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information; the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure; the purposes for which we process it; whether we can achieve those purposes through other means; and applicable legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete, de-identify, or anonymize it.

  • Withdraw consent. Where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Appeal. Where provided by law, appeal a decision we make regarding your request.

9.2 U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have specific rights under those laws, including the rights described above. We do not sell personal information in exchange for monetary consideration. To the extent applicable law treats certain cookie-based analytics or advertising activity as a “sale” or “sharing,” you may exercise choices through your browser settings, recognized opt-out preference signals, and the contact methods below.

California “Shine the Light.” California residents may request information about our disclosure, if any, of personal information to third parties for those parties’ direct marketing purposes. We do not currently share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

9.3 EEA / UK Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We will respond to such requests in accordance with applicable law.

9.4 How to Exercise Your Rights

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request, and we may decline requests where permitted or required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request where the law allows, subject to appropriate verification.

10. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security, and any transmission of information is at your own risk. You are responsible for keeping any credentials you use to interact with us confidential.

11. International Users and Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and the Services are operated in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, which may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States as described in this Privacy Policy.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for businesses and adults of legal age and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or a higher age where required by applicable law). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information. Our products are intended for use in the preparation of beverages, including alcoholic cocktails, by businesses and individuals of legal drinking age; nothing on our Site is intended to encourage the purchase or consumption of alcohol by anyone under the legal age.

13. Website Content, Intellectual Property, Terms of Use and Trademarks

All content displayed on or made available through the Services—including, without limitation, the photographs, product images, lifestyle and beach imagery, videos and demonstration footage, illustrations, graphics, page layouts, text, copy, taglines, performance statistics and product claims, the “The Perfect Rim” name, the company logo and label artwork, color schemes, typography, and the overall look and feel of the Site (collectively, the “Content”)—is owned by or licensed to Salt & Palm Brands LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, trade dress, and other intellectual property laws.

13.1 Trademarks

“The Perfect Rim”™, “Dip · Dress · Deliver”™, the associated logo, label design, and related names, marks, and slogans are trademarks or trade dress of Salt & Palm Brands LLC, whether or not designated with a ™ or ® symbol. Nothing on the Services should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any trademark without our prior written permission. All other product and company names, marks, and logos referenced on the Services are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only; such use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.

13.2 Photographs, Videos, and Imagery

The photographs, product images, packaging and label artwork, demonstration and avatar videos, and other visual media on the Services are protected works. They may not be copied, reproduced, downloaded, republished, distributed, modified, framed, scraped, or used to create derivative works, including for training automated or machine-learning systems, without our prior written consent, except as expressly permitted below.

13.3 Statistics, Claims, and Illustrative Figures

Any statistics, performance figures, cost comparisons, yield estimates (such as the number of rims per bottle), and product claims presented on the Services are provided for general informational and illustrative purposes only. Actual results may vary based on usage, pour size, technique, product handling, and other factors. Such figures are estimates, may be rounded or approximate, and are subject to change without notice. They do not constitute a warranty, guarantee, or binding representation. Specific nutritional, ingredient, and regulatory information is governed by the product label and applicable law.

Product performance may vary depending on rim blend composition, environmental conditions, operator technique, and serving practices.

13.4 Limited Permitted Use

Subject to your compliance with this Privacy Policy and any applicable terms, we grant trade partners and visitors a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and, where a download function is expressly provided (such as published sell sheets or marketing assets), to download and use those specific materials solely for legitimate, non-misleading business purposes related to evaluating, purchasing, or reselling our products. This license does not permit altering our marks, claims, or artwork, or using the Content in any manner that is false, misleading, disparaging, or otherwise unlawful. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

13.5 User-Submitted Content

If you submit any content, suggestions, feedback, photographs, or other materials to us through the Services or otherwise (“Submissions”), you represent that you have the right to do so, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and display such Submissions in connection with operating and promoting our business, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Please do not send us confidential or proprietary information that you do not wish us to use on this basis.

13.6 Reporting Infringement

If you believe any Content on the Services infringes your intellectual property rights, or if you have questions about permitted use of our Content, please contact us at BizOps@ThePerfectRim.com with a detailed description of the material and the basis for your request.

14. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Because there is not yet a common industry or legal standard for recognizing and responding to DNT signals, our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. We do, however, honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, where required by applicable law.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy and, where appropriate or required by law, provide additional notice. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Services after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
